David Peterson D.C.
My journey to the chiropractic profession started with my grandmother, Delores Peterson, who began to see a chiropractor in the early 1940's for headaches. She continued regular maintenance of her health with chiropractic care throughout her life. When my father, Donald Peterson, was choosing a career, my grandmother persuaded him to attend Palmer Chiropractic College and become a chiropractor.
As a result, my life has involved chiropractic since birth. In 1995 I received my Doctorate in Chiropractic from Northwestern Chiropractic College. After graduation I interned at Spring Lake Park Chiropractic. Shortly thereafter, I joined my father in our family practice at North St. Paul Chiropractic.
In 2007, after 11 years of practice, I made the decision to open my own office. I purchased Spring Lake Park Chiropractic, the office where my chiropractic career began. In 2019 we found the perfect location for a second office in our hometown of Woodbury, Minnesota. My wife Sandy and I take pleasure in sharing the benefits of chiropractic with our clients and community. We have two grown children, both alumni of the University of Minnesota, and a daughter in high school. When we are not working, we prefer to spend time outdoors.

When I was only twelve years old, something happened that changed my life forever. You see, I had a "swayed back," and my mom and dad, and my medical doctor was very concerned. The doctor told me that this condition could develop into scoliosis, but they offered no remedy.
Every two years until I was 12 years old the medical doctors took x-rays to see if it was getting worse, and it was. Finally, my mom and dad took me to their chiropractor. He did an exam and took x-rays. He found that the scoliosis and swayed back was due to a spinal misalignment. Then he did something that changed the course of my life. He "adjusted" my spine and showed me some exercises to further correct the sway in my spine. The adjustment didn't hurt, it actually felt good. Through his care and the exercises, my scoliosis and swayed back began to improve. Chiropractic helped me so much that, at the age of eighteen, I decided that one day I would become a chiropractor myself.
